Running shoes, cross country shoes?

I was looking at the Zoom Miller XC, the GHAC XCs and Nike Free trainer 7.0s (These are all nike). I was going to start running again and I was looking into various shoes.

1. I was going to get a pair of Megabounce + from adidas or Nike 360s for long distant running on concrete. (%26lt;10 miles)

2. I like the zoom millers because nike says: %26quot; a science of tread design that lends traction on grass snow mud and loose terrain. %26quot; These are cross country shoes so I thought they would be useful to have as multipurpose because of the tread on the bottom is rubber but not spikes - I wanted a shoe that would be less inclined to get saturated with dirt like typical running shoes with their cloth lininig; I also wanted a shoe I could play a few casual sports games in- (its a little funny showing up to a game with cleats when it was only going to be light).

People say you can wear any shoe for whatever purpose; but I was trying to specialise the shoes I would to wear.

Running shoes, cross country shoes?
Don%26#039;t get too hung up on marketing. Nike is very good at it, yet if you look at people running down the street, you see few Nikes on runners feet.

You also don%26#039;t need to overthink specialized shoes for cross country. Every cross-country course I ran in high school or college was rarely worse more than a smooth dirt fire road. There is nothing wrong with specializing, but do focus on fit and comfort.

Most conventional running shoes will suit your purposes. I like to buy 2 pairs at a time, and alternate or dedicate one for the dirty stuff.

The best advice any of us can offer, is go to a running shoe store, and let them 1) measure your feet, and 2) watch you run. It is CRITICAL to find a shoe that suits your tendencies. If you need stability control, or have high arches, flat feet, pronate, supinate, whatever, you will perform MUCH better in the right shoes and stay injury free.

I can%26#039;t wear Nike, and never have been able to. I%26#039;m an Asics and New Balance guy exclusively. Adidas has come a long way...

Good luck, and welcome back to the road...
Reply:What the guy above me said about marketing has a lot of merit. Do not be decieved by Nike%26#039;s multi-million dollar advertising campaigns!

My advice- go to a local running shop and ask them to help you out. I%26#039;m not talking about some big chain like Big 5 or Foot Locker. Avoid these places. Go to locally owned shops and you are basically sure to find some people with a wealth of knowledge on running shoes!

It may seem strange because most of your life you%26#039;ve probably been exposed to the brands like Nike and Adidas, but as far as running shoes go, they really aren%26#039;t that great. They%26#039;ve got some nice shoes, but those guys are to obsessed with being flashy. I am personally partial to Mizuno- I think they make excellent shoes for the money put down.
Reply:I have Nike Free 5.0 for flat surfaces
Reply:It looks like you%26#039;ve done your homework already! I love my Asics and run in them in whatever condition- if it%26#039;s super muddy, you%26#039;re going to get muddy. i do agree with you however that having some trail runners will help; I used to own a pair of Nike Trail Blazers (I believe that%26#039;s what they were called, its been some time now) that I wore when I ran %26#039;real%26#039; cross country- on trails in the woods when it was wet, slippery, etc. They had enough traction and didn%26#039;t seem to hold onto the mud as much. If they%26#039;re comfortable, I%26#039;d say go for it. It does help to have a pair like that because running in spikes is something I only do for races- flat road runners or spikes.

As far as running strickly on the road- like I said, I have a pair of Asics that I love because they are so comfortable, have great cushion and I have never needed to break them in. I went on a long run right away when they were new and had no problems whatsoever. They are a great neutral shoe that aren%26#039;t narrow, give great support and have a long mileage life as far as I%26#039;ve found.

I hope this helps!!

Running shoes...puma?

is the puma ALSTEN a good running shoe for daily running on a treadmill?

its under running shoes, but it doesnt look very padded and looks more like a fashion/lifestyle shoe. its also described as a sprinters shoe, so is it not good for running on a treademill?

i just started running, so i dont know what kind of shoe to get?

thanxs for the help!

Running shoes...puma?
pumas are generally flats and more for track or competitions. The are also usually not the best for running
Reply:Yuck! Puma%26#039;s trying to pass themselves off as a running shoe is a bad idea. Go with a pair of shoes that make their living off running. Try Asics, Mizunos, or Saucony. They have shoes made for everything so you can get more cushioning if you know you get sore feet or more structured shoes to help prevent you from a twisted ankle. For a treadmill I would recommend any pair of Asics, except there trail running shoes. The shoes will last at least 400 miles even more if its just on a treadmil.
Reply:I recommend MacGregor%26#039;s .
Reply:Try Mizuno Creation

These were featured as the best shoe in an about.com article for people w/ neutral feet. If you have supination they recommend other ones.

Also New Balance is a good brand.

Check out some more suggestions here:

Reply:well I love Pumas, however not for any real exercises, more for fashion wear. I prefer for running Nike, they are the most comfortable shoes I have for running in the gym (I have Nike, Adidas, Asics as well) Go to the store and try them on take a little jog in the store to make sure they are what you want.

Also if they are a %26quot;sprinting shoe%26quot; they are for just that, small sprints (like track shoes) these will not be your most comfortable shoe as far as distance running, they are made to be light, small, and have good traction to run as fast as you can. You will need a running/cross training shoe.

New running shoes resulted in knee pain! normal??

hi

my knees were a little achey, so i recently was fit for new running shoes (i apparantly overpronate) that supposedly would correct for overpronation. well, with the new shoes, my knees REALLY hurt -WAY more than they did when running in my old shoes -in fact, both knees hurt- while running and even after running. is this normal? is there a %26#039;break-in%26#039; period when you switch to a stable shoe? how long is it? i thought the new more stable shoes woud reduce knee pain, but it has been just the opposite. should i just run through the pain, assuming it will get better eventually? wear knee braces? switch shoes (i would hate to do this -they cost a fortune and were fit by in a running store by someone who watched me run to judge my gait, so i assume they are right)? thanks for any and all help/advice! this has been really frustrating %26lt;and painful!%26gt;. . .

New running shoes resulted in knee pain! normal??
try seeing a podiatrist and possibly get fitted for orthotics. I used to have injury problems all the time due to overpronation and nothing ever fixed it until i got orthotics.
Reply:I would have the store analyze your stride to see if there is anything they could tweak to stop the knee pain. If it%26#039;s persistent, then maybe fit you for a different pair of shoes.
Reply:certainly knee joints take lot of strain
Reply:its ok cz ur just gettin used to it
Reply:your breaking in your new running shoes you have to keep on running so the shoes break in completely and feel normal
Reply:Abnormal, and maybe shoe size is abnormal too!
Reply:i have had this many times before, there are many reasons that could be causing this, such as:

WHICH OF THESE APPLY TO YOU?

-is the shoe heavyer than your normal running shoe?

as this could be causing your leg to fall out of flex faster and jar your knee.

-is the shoes sole thinner than your normal/last shoes?

as this could be causing you to land with straighter legs than needed, slightly crushing your leg.

-is the insloe a different shape to your normal/last shoe%26#039;s?

as this could change weight distrubution and effect your knee.

RESOLUTION:

first resolution: try and take longer more controlled strides and keep using so your body can ajust.

second resolution: get insoles, or again take controlled strides until your body has adjusted

resolution three: Get insoles, try unfitted first as they are cheaper.

if none of this works take them bcka!!
Reply:i had this too for a while. running is really tough on joints the jarring pound of your footsteps can really mess you up if you run a lot. try getting a good pair of running shoes while good shock absorption, or some orthopaedics help too (those gel things you put in your shoes), also, if you%26#039;re running on pavement or other hard surfaces thats really bad. try running in dirt or sand. its easier on your joints and its a better workout because the ground absorbs more of your step and your feet wont bounce as easily into the next one. running on uneven surfaces also strengthens ankles so they become less likely to get sprained, and it can help you avoid shin splints. if your running on a road just try to run on the part where it meets the grass or dirt on the side rather than on the asphalt, this way you dont have to change your normal circuit. your body may need time to let your joints recover, and even if you follow this advice things could get worse if you dont let them get better first. so switch to biking or swimming for a cardio workout for now, those will allow you to recover and come back better than ever! wow this is long sry. good luck!

Running Shoes?

I need to find some cool track spikes

any suggestions

i wear a womens 5.5 and a mens 4

Running Shoes?
depends what event ur planning on running. my friend runs track and she suggests anything asics. asics hyper-rocketgirls are pretty legit and easy to get used to, i%26#039;m assuming your running track for high school
Reply:Go to your local running store. They will be willing and able to fit you into the proper track spike depending on your event. If they don%26#039;t have one that is %26quot;cool%26quot; enough for you, ask them if there are any they can special order from the catalog that would work for your event.

General rules:

-Events 400m or lower get a spike without a heel.

-Events 800m and longer should have small or full length heel.

-Field event have specially designed shoes, but most can be done with middle distance spikes.

Lastly, go for what is most comfortable. This is why you go to a running store so you can run it the spikes of a short while. Try not to order out of a catalog if you can help it.
Reply:DO NOT BUY shox. They are very poor for your feet (especially for running), plus they are not even track spikes. If you like Nike, you can go to the website and customize your spikes(school colors are popular)--it%26#039;s pretty cool.
Reply:go online to either hibbett or nike%26#039;s store and order some
Reply:nike shocks
Reply:try nike or addidas. go to a local sports/running store, usually they have track spikes.
Reply:if your shoes are running, you better catch them

It is important to know what type your foot is. Also check out the Zappos link below. There are tips on identifying what your foot type is and what shoes would work best. You will find information on arch types, gaits (overpronating vs. underpronating) and shoe types. Searching by shoe sizes, widths and colors are additional options as well.

Reply:Do you mean %26quot;where to buy running shoes in Singapore?%26quot; a couple of places, there are brand boutiques, world of sports, royal sporting house and of course queensway shopping centre.
Reply:once again, someone asks the same questions.

if you%26#039;re going for really new models then i suggest sticking to the main stream shopping centres around town. They%26#039;ll carry the latest models at the %26quot;latest price%26quot; too.

however, if you really are just looking for functionality, i suggest going to Queensway Shopping Centre. It%26#039;s like 2.5 stories of sports shop which sells a variety of track shoes. Note however that the track shoes sold there are usually past seasons but suits just fine.

for me, the key thing is you can get the functional shoes at a good bargain.
Reply:You can try Queensway shopping center. There are many sport shop there.

Running Shoes?

I am a runner and a triathlete, but i need to find a good shoe that works. I have been using nike forever but im sick of them. please!!!!!! i need tips from those of you who are runners!!!!!!

Running Shoes?
Look around at a race. I%26#039;m sure you%26#039;ll see a lot of Asics and Saucony. I%26#039;m partial to Asics, although it%26#039;s hard to recommend a model without knowing what type of foot you have. Try some Asics on in a store. Holabird Sports has great prices on their website. I%26#039;d get a pair for training and a pair for racing. The Asics DS Trainer is a nice racing shoe.
Reply:The brand of shoe, style, and type all depends on your foot type. Do you have high, low arches? Over or underpronate? Wide feet? Narrow Feet? etc....the best way to find the best running shoe for you is to visit a professional running store. Bring in a pair of old running shoes so that they can examine your old treads. You want to find a place that preferably has a treadmill, so that they can watch you run. I would call ahead and ask if they have someone that works in their shoe department that can do a gait analysis. I go to Luke%26#039;s Locker or Run On!. Depending on where you live....I went through so many shoes before I decided to finally have someone who knew what they were doing fit me into the right shoes. So, don%26#039;t waste your time. Get yourself properly fitted.

Running shoes are very important. I am glad that you are taking the time to do your research. Please visit http://www.therunningadvisor.com/running... for some great advice on choosing a quality running shoe. Good luck to you!
Reply:Nike shoes are pretty good. I wear them as sneakers. If you fit into Nikes, you will probably fit into Saucony shoes and Asics as well. I recommend both of these brands, as they both have a wide variety of shoes for whatever you may like or need.

Running Shoes?

does anyone know if the nike shox turbo v+ is a good shoe because I%26#039;m buying new and I like that pair.

Running Shoes?
I would not reccomend the shox for running. It%26#039;s more cosmetics than anything. If you want a good nike running shoe, first you need to figure out if you%26#039;re foot strikes and pronates outward, inward, or neutral when you run. There are specific shoes for each of these types, I know the Nike Pegasus is for neutral, can%26#039;t remember the others off the top of my head. But the Nike shoes that are good for running are the Elites, Pegasus, and Structure Triax. My foot is designed for the Structure Triax, and it%26#039;s a great shoe that a lot of elite runners use.

If possible go to an actual Running Store, and if they are a decent store they will watch you run outside the store, then recomend the shoe for you.

Don%26#039;t go with the shox though, they are not a good running shoe.
Reply:The best runner on my xc team wears them and he has no complaints so they must be good...lol
Reply:Go to the store Run On and they will watch you walk and/or run and tell you what type of shoe type you are and will help you try on multiple shoes of that type until you find the perfect fit

Running shoes?

i run on the fields behind my home and as i live in england they are more often than not muddy. i started off with trainers but it was far too slippery so i switched to football boots with blades. i would assume they are okay to run in and wont hurt my feet (footballers do run after all). : )

i just want to know if they are okay to run in and wont damage my feet?

Running shoes?
I think if your feet are comfortable in them you%26#039;ll be fine they probably don%26#039;t have the nice cushioned soul of a running shoe, but you don%26#039;t need that kinda of support if your running in the conditions you described, just watch out for any roads you might have to cross cleats can be dangerously slippery on hard surfaces .Have fun
Reply:u cant run as fast as u do with your spikes... it doesn%26#039;t make any effect on your running... your speed remains the same...

u%26#039;ll not have a good balance...

so it is better to use spikes shoes...
Reply:i dont think that football boots are made to be run in alot i dont thik that they give you enoughrt when you run....

but if they feel fine to you than its ok

Running shoes?

hi. went i go running on astro turf/ grass/concreate my trainers really hurt my feet and im starting to get real problem from it. could anyone recommend any decent trainers which won%26#039;t cost an arm and a leg that are usful on diffrent surfaces? thanks xxx

Running shoes?
Please do not continue to use shoes that are broken down or not enough support to exercise in!! You can end up with shin splints and/or torn ligaments by using improper footwear. I do not know what you consider the, obviously high, cost of an arm and a leg. I am quite familiar with the advantages of good (stable and supportive) footwear versus bad or broken down footwear. I do not know if you realize it or not but just the walking motion puts 8x your body weight down on the smallest bones, muscles and ligaments in your body. This means that no matter how healthy of a weight you are; that is an incredible amount of weight! I actually sold sportshoes, what you are referring to as trainers for 11 years, and I watched people hurt themselves, by buying something that would not work for what they were using it for. I also know a lot of other people who spent a bit more money than they planned in the first place and ended up being able to participate in their chosen activity for a much longer period of time. I know many people who are participating in tennis and basketball and even running 5k road races well up into their seventies. I know other people who injured themselves, severely, in their teens and twenties and who had to give up participating in activities that they loved because they did not use footwear which was recommended for them to use. We all live on a budget, or at least the majority of us do, so I understand that it is difficult to spend money on footwear when you do not realize how important that that purchase may be. I even use a good running shoe as an everyday shoe, and have an even better one for walking...I%26#039;m not as lightweight as I could be, so that is more pressure on my poor feet. If you are running on concrete, that is a very difficult surface for your joints and ligaments, so you need to use rugged shoes which are stable and have a lot of cushioning. My best recommendations would be Saucony, New Balance, Asics, and Adidas. If you need a narrower cut shoe, Nike generally runs a bit more narrow. Make sure that you have about a thumbs%26#039; width of room in front of your longest toe when you are standing in the shoe. Most people have one foot larger than the other, so try both on to make sure they are both comfortable. You want the extra room in the toebox because your feet will naturally spread out and foreward with the running motion, and you do not want to be hitting your toes on the stitching or front of the shoe. You should go to a reputable sportshoe store such as Sports Authority or the Finish Line to get measured and properly fitted. Once you have found the shoe or shoes that work for you, keep your eye open for sales at the shoe stores or even places like T.J. Maxx and Marshalls for closeouts and last seasons colors. I generally find a few great pairs a year for about one third of what they would be in a sportshoe store. The pairs that I buy for everyday are in the $65 to $70 range (USA) and for exercise walking or running they will go up into the $80 range for more support and durability. It is much more sensible to spend the money on the good footwear, than doctors visits and painkillers. Make sure you wear socks when you try the shoes on, and when you run for sweat absorbtion and avoidance of blisters. You will probably need to purchase at least two pairs per year, depending on the milage that you are doing. Good luck to you and happy exercising!
Reply:nike shox thats what ive used for 3 years they work well i would suggest u to get some
Reply:Adidas have worked the best for me. They have worked well for me on grass, concrete, and %26quot;track%26quot; (the small, gravelly stuff) surfaces.
Reply:i use new balance and they are pretty good but i get blisters from running long distances but that is normal with many shoes
Reply:new balance are the best in my opinion, but i also really like nike
Reply:Try Nike, the Nike shox brand give great support. Maybe Phat Farm, those are stylish and they are goods supportes on many turfs/concretes.

Hope this helps!
Reply:New Balance, cheap and very comfy

I%26#039;m a long distance track and xc runner and im looking for a pair of shoes that have good cushioning and won%26#039;t wear out fast. could you tell me which brand is best? i prefer asics, brooks, mizunos, new balance, etc. i currently have new balances, and they%26#039;re nothing special. also, some to prevent shin splints/pain!

Running shoes?
I have been running for 8 years now. Though I am biased towards Nike as a brand, I would recommend you to go to a running-specific store, like Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC. They can help you find the right shoe because people buy shoes that aren%26#039;t necessarily right for their feet, but more comfortable or fashionable. But after you get the correct shoes or even if you haven%26#039;t, I would go to any major athletics store and ask the sales associates because they are getting paid to know the products they are selling. Good luck!!!

http://www.fleetfeetsports.com/
Reply:The brand isn%26#039;t important. Go to your local running store and they should help you find the right shoe for you. Everyone%26#039;s feet are different so having people tell you what brand is the best doesn%26#039;t help you. Most of the time you can try out the shoe and run a little in it too.

Most running shoes last about the same amount, about 500miles is how far they go(so about one season of track or xc). So they one brand doesn%26#039;t last more than any other normally. Hope this helps! :)
Reply:adidas bounce is really good support

it doesnt look like it would but it does

good arch support and doesnt slip around

very good. good luck!
Reply:My coach told me to just stick with the big brands. Also, buy the expensive one since you DO get the your money%26#039;s worth. As a long distance runner I recommend that. And I think asics and adidas have good running shoes.

Anyways, I am a sprinter so I prefer tight and hard shoes that fixes my feet into tiptoe mode. :D
Reply:-well i have diadoras there not really popular at my school but i still have so much rubber on the bottom of my shoe that it will last me at least 2 more years(everyone on my team wont believe it i%26#039;m at practice everyday beating them back to our school and there 50$ shoes are worn out already) ps my shoes only cost 25$

-you could get the special cushion which ranges from 10-30 dollars

-it is actually beter if you find a shoe store that is specifically for running they can look at the botom of your foot and the fit you for the perfect shoe and cushion(they also ask questions like how much you run a day? and etc)
Reply:I would have to say Brooks Adrenaline. I too suffer from shin splints, and when I got those shoes, my shin splints got much better.
Reply:Take your current shoes into a running store, show them to the staff and ask them to fit you for your new pair. They%26#039;ll check the wear on your shoes and watch your stride and pick you out the best pair for your needs.

There%26#039;s no best brand. You%26#039;ve got the right idea with Asics, Mizunos and Brooks. I%26#039;ve had a few pairs of Asics and Mizunos and have had nothing but love for them.

Running shoes??

I just bought a pair of Asics Gel-Frantic and they arecomfortable and lightweight. I need them for cross country and my coach said to get some cross trainers. Would these shoes be ok for cross country?

Running shoes??
they definitely would. remis.
Reply:If possible, go to a good running shoe store and get fitted properly for a running shoe. The Frantic is a neutral cushioned shoe and might be comfortable but it might not be the right type of shoe for you for serious running. It would be best to have someone check it out for you. If it%26#039;s the right type of shoe for you (neutral, cushioned) then you can run in the Frantic. If you%26#039;re told you need medial support, you would be better off getting another shoe for running. You could still use the Frantic for the gym, tho.

%26quot;Cross Trainers%26quot; are not runnning shoes. They would be for the gym.
Reply:Yes, I think they would. I got for comfort and how the shoe feels.
Reply:Cross trainers are for working out in, more than running.
Reply:If you are running cross country than you are running through the woods/off road. The best shoe for this sport is trail shoes. They may be a little heavier but the give your foot and anke more support. The sole is harder to protect the bottom of your foot from rocks and roots.

Cross trainers are for the gym.
Reply:Oh sure if they%26#039;re comfortable, light weight and easy to walk in. I think your coach will except them. Good luck with that!!! :o)
Reply:Yes! My Cross Country coach told us that asics are his preferable choice!

Reply:Get what you think is best for your foot dont worry about what all the others out there say go for what feels best on your foot and yes New Balance is a very good brand.
Reply:Unfortunately, Nike doesn%26#039;t seem to make as comfortable shoes as they used to. I keep trying them on at the NIke training runs, but I can%26#039;t find a comfortable pair.

Most of the time, I wear New Balance and it sounds like that may be a good choice for you too, because they over a variety of widths.

You may want to do some research. All the major running magazines (Runner%26#039;s World, Running Times, etc.,) have reports on running shoes. If you don%26#039;t want to buy the magazine, you can go to: http://www.runnersworld.com and put in a search for shoe reviews. There are shoes for different types of runners: overpronators, under pronators, heavy runners, high mileage, and neutral. It really has become quite a science. It is a good idea to go to a running specialty store to try on shoes. If you live in Southern California, Snail%26#039;s Pace is the one I go to because every one working there is also a runner.

When buying shoes, it is also important to understand that your running shoe size will be larger than your dress shoes and that some running shoes tend to run small so you can%26#039;t assume that the size you think you wear is correct.
Reply:yes new balnce is good.

Reply:yeah i just got out of the shox phase too. they%26#039;re not very good are they...haha. i got mizuno and i love them. huge difference. i can actually feel wind on my toes. thats how nicely formed the mesh is. but i also like brooks, asics, adidas, and new balance. i%26#039;m done with nike for a while..if you have a specialty shoe store. go there. they%26#039;ll find the right shoe for you!

Running Shoes?

Hey jw when it comes to how your running shoe should fit should it be slightly tight or more on the comfortable loose side, or is it just each persons preference? A little input would be nice, thanks.

Reply:PERSONAL PREFERENCE. I WOULD NOT GET THEM TO LOOSE BECAUSE YOU MAY GET BLISTERS. USE YOUR BEST JUDGMENT.
Reply:Yeah it%26#039;s all really about personal preference. Though if they are too loose they could come off like my shoe did one time at the end of a race lol. When you do get new shoes make sure you walk around in them for a bit before running in them, it will help break them in.
Reply:it is always adviceable to wear shoes slightly loose for free movement of feet but laces must be tight.
Reply:not to tight were your circulation is poor, but not loose where your foot insides the shoe. this would create friction and friction equals blister which equals pain and i mena the bad kind of pain

Running Shoes?

I have really bad knees. What is the best brand of running shoe?

Running Shoes?
Different brands aren%26#039;t necessarily better than others. They may have a slightly different feel (Saucony%26#039;s tend to be firmer while Nikes tend to be softer). What you need to look into is the actual problem with the knees. Was the problem caused by the running itself? If so, you may need a bit more arch support which is called a stability shoe. If not, you probably want to go with a neutral cushion shoe. If your knee problem is really severe, you probably want to go with something like the Asics Nimbus or the Mizuno Wave creation, they tend to provide ALOT of cushioning in the heel. You can also try the Saucony triumph, it used to be pretty firm but I heard the new version is softer, I haven%26#039;t tried it yet. Hope this helps and if you need more information, try your local running specialty shop

As the guy above mentioned, New Balance tend to be a good basic running shoe in the mid price range but if you have severe problems, your probably going to want to go with something higher in price to get more cushioning. And in my opinion, New Balance%26#039;s higher end shoes aren%26#039;t as good, but then again, everyones feet are shaped differently so everyone has different opinions of what the %26quot;best%26quot; running shoe is.
Reply:new balance are good. i started running six miles a day three years ago, i feel great but i sure am getting a long way from home.

Running shoes?

I want to start running, what%26#039;s the best shoe to get? Also, how far do I start and how often?

Running shoes?
There is no one shoe that is right for everyone. Go to a local running store (not a mall sneaker store) and have a runner help you find the best shoes for your feet and the way that you run. If you don%26#039;t have any local stores, try http://www.roadrunnersports.com Use the shoe dog to fetch the recommended shoes based on your answers to questions about your feet and your running. If you use road runner, be sure to follow the recommendations for sizing with each shoe.

As for how far and how often, start small and build. If you haven%26#039;t been running at all, start with walking and incorporate running intervals until you can run for 30 minutes straight. A good plan for this is: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/... Once you%26#039;ve got 30 minutes or about 3 miles mastered, you can either maintain there or continue to build. A good rule is to keep your mileage increases around 10% each week to avoid injury.
Reply:I like new Balance. Go as far as you can, then walk a bit and repeat. You should exercise for at lease 30 min, 4 to 5 times a week.
Reply:It depends on your type of foot (flat, arched)
