Running shoes?

I want to start running, what%26#039;s the best shoe to get? Also, how far do I start and how often?

Running shoes?
There is no one shoe that is right for everyone. Go to a local running store (not a mall sneaker store) and have a runner help you find the best shoes for your feet and the way that you run. If you don%26#039;t have any local stores, try http://www.roadrunnersports.com Use the shoe dog to fetch the recommended shoes based on your answers to questions about your feet and your running. If you use road runner, be sure to follow the recommendations for sizing with each shoe.

As for how far and how often, start small and build. If you haven%26#039;t been running at all, start with walking and incorporate running intervals until you can run for 30 minutes straight. A good plan for this is: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/... Once you%26#039;ve got 30 minutes or about 3 miles mastered, you can either maintain there or continue to build. A good rule is to keep your mileage increases around 10% each week to avoid injury.
Reply:I like new Balance. Go as far as you can, then walk a bit and repeat. You should exercise for at lease 30 min, 4 to 5 times a week.
Reply:It depends on your type of foot (flat, arched)
