Running shoes?

I%26#039;m a long distance track and xc runner and im looking for a pair of shoes that have good cushioning and won%26#039;t wear out fast. could you tell me which brand is best? i prefer asics, brooks, mizunos, new balance, etc. i currently have new balances, and they%26#039;re nothing special. also, some to prevent shin splints/pain!

Running shoes?
I have been running for 8 years now. Though I am biased towards Nike as a brand, I would recommend you to go to a running-specific store, like Fleet Feet in Carrboro, NC. They can help you find the right shoe because people buy shoes that aren%26#039;t necessarily right for their feet, but more comfortable or fashionable. But after you get the correct shoes or even if you haven%26#039;t, I would go to any major athletics store and ask the sales associates because they are getting paid to know the products they are selling. Good luck!!!

Reply:The brand isn%26#039;t important. Go to your local running store and they should help you find the right shoe for you. Everyone%26#039;s feet are different so having people tell you what brand is the best doesn%26#039;t help you. Most of the time you can try out the shoe and run a little in it too.

Most running shoes last about the same amount, about 500miles is how far they go(so about one season of track or xc). So they one brand doesn%26#039;t last more than any other normally. Hope this helps! :)
Reply:adidas bounce is really good support

it doesnt look like it would but it does

good arch support and doesnt slip around

very good. good luck!
Reply:My coach told me to just stick with the big brands. Also, buy the expensive one since you DO get the your money%26#039;s worth. As a long distance runner I recommend that. And I think asics and adidas have good running shoes.

Anyways, I am a sprinter so I prefer tight and hard shoes that fixes my feet into tiptoe mode. :D
Reply:-well i have diadoras there not really popular at my school but i still have so much rubber on the bottom of my shoe that it will last me at least 2 more years(everyone on my team wont believe it i%26#039;m at practice everyday beating them back to our school and there 50$ shoes are worn out already) ps my shoes only cost 25$

-you could get the special cushion which ranges from 10-30 dollars

-it is actually beter if you find a shoe store that is specifically for running they can look at the botom of your foot and the fit you for the perfect shoe and cushion(they also ask questions like how much you run a day? and etc)
Reply:I would have to say Brooks Adrenaline. I too suffer from shin splints, and when I got those shoes, my shin splints got much better.
Reply:Take your current shoes into a running store, show them to the staff and ask them to fit you for your new pair. They%26#039;ll check the wear on your shoes and watch your stride and pick you out the best pair for your needs.

There%26#039;s no best brand. You%26#039;ve got the right idea with Asics, Mizunos and Brooks. I%26#039;ve had a few pairs of Asics and Mizunos and have had nothing but love for them.
Reply:well my husband has always stuck to the intelligence ADIDAS..Microbounce Etana try these ones for women
